This Privacy Policy explains how AMFreelancers ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you visit amfreelancers.com, fill out a form, or apply for a role with us.

Information we collect

Information you give us

We only collect what you choose to send us through our forms:

• Contact form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), type of business, and the message you write to us.
• Job applications: your name, email address, phone number (optional), the position you're interested in, years of experience (optional), a LinkedIn or portfolio link (optional), your message, and your résumé as a PDF if you choose to attach one.

Information collected automatically

We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights) to understand how many people visit our pages and how quickly the site loads. This data is aggregated and does not use tracking cookies or build an advertising profile of you. Your browser also sends standard technical information (such as your IP address and browser type) to our hosting provider, as happens with any website.

How we use your information

• To respond to your inquiry and set up a call about our services.
• To review and evaluate your job application.
• To operate, maintain, and improve our website.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

We rely on a few trusted service providers to run our site and receive your messages. They process your information only to provide their service to us:

• Google Fonts — serves the fonts used on our site, which involves your browser requesting them from Google. (privacy policy)

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

How long we keep it

Contact form messages stay in our email inbox while we are talking with you about working together, and we remove them on request.

Job applications, including any résumé you attach, are kept for 12 months from the date you apply so we can consider you for later openings. After 12 months we delete them. You can ask us to delete them sooner at any time.

Where your information is handled

We work with a distributed team, and the providers listed above operate in several countries. Your information may therefore be handled outside the country you live in. We apply the same practices wherever it is handled.

Résumés and job applications

If you attach a résumé, it is sent to our hiring team as an email attachment. We do not store it in any separate online file storage. We use it only to review your application, and we keep it for the period set out in "How long we keep it" above. You can ask us to delete it at any time using the contact details below.

Cookies

We don't use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking. Our analytics are cookieless, and any essential storage is only what's needed for the site to function.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information you've shared with us. Just email us at chrisam@amfreelancers.com and we'll take care of it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Data security

Our site is served over HTTPS, and we rely on reputable providers to store and process your information. No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.

Children's privacy

Our website and services are intended for business owners and job seekers. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
